COLUMBUS, Ind. — Tim Scheidt on Thursday inspected, walked through, measured, sketched and took photos of a vacant home in Shadow Creek Farms.
The Columbus-based appraiser said appraisers take measurements of a home’s interior and exterior and make sure that the home is in good condition. Any cracks in a ceiling or wall, broken windows or other structural problems are captured with a camera.
“This isn’t too bad,” he said. “I’ve been in homes where the plumbing’s been removed.”
