William F. Behymer, 83, of Fox Hollow Court, died at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Behymer was born in Terre Haute, IN, on September 7, 1928, the son of the late Herbert Eugene and Helen Gottschalk Behymer. He married Dorothy Green in Chicago, IL, on January 8, 1950. She preceded him in death on July 21, 1990.
Mr. Behymer was a route salesman. He was a lifetime member of the Die Hard Cubs Fan Club and a lifetime member of the Handyman Club. He also was a member of Mill Race Senior Center and was a longtime member of the American Bowling Congress.
The funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Behymer will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Dr. William H. Griffith officiating. Calling hours will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mr. Behymer is survived by a daughter, Carol Ferguson of Brownstown, IN.; two sons, Billy (Rose) Behymer of Columbus, IN, and James “Link” (fiancé’, Lisa Percifield) Behymer of Hope, IN.; a brother, Robert Eugene Behymer of Vista, CA.; five grandchildren, David Whittington and Corey, Amber and Brandy Behymer, all of Columbus, IN, and Wendy (Paul) Hollin of Tampico, IN.; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Along with his parents and wife, Mr. Behymer was preceded in death by a brother, Don Behymer.
