Lance Cpl. Hunter “H.D.” Hogan, 21, a native of Seymour, was killed in action Saturday, June 23, 2012, while serving with the United States Marine Corps in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

Survivors include his wife, Brittney Pelsue Hogan of New Bern, N.C.; his father, Steve Hogan of Aurora, Neb.; his mother, Tracy Rogers Hogan of Indiana; and grandparents, Jim and Betty Hogan of Kinston, N.C.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York, Neb. Military interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the H.D. Hogan Memorial Rodeo Scholarship Fund in care of Cornerstone Bank.
