Shirley Faye Reeves Newland McNeish, 75, of North Vernon, formerly of Angola, died at 1:11 a.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.

Mrs. McNeish was a longtime bookkeeper and she enjoyed sewing, making stuffed animals and collecting Longaberger Baskets.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday.

Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Born in Bartholomew County May 11, 1937, Mrs. McNeish was the daughter of Millard "Pat" and Margaret Elzea Patton.

Survivors include her children, Lori (Teresa) Clarkson of North Vernon, Michael (Darla) Newland of Columbus, Margaret Thomas of Columbus and Mark (Jessica) Newland of Kendallville; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon (Mike) Collins of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McNeish was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dean Patton; and a sister, Martha Jane Hull.
